When you use After Effects transitions in Premiere Pro, in some cases this may have some problems that are worth keeping in mind. At the moment, this can have two main types of problems.
- No audio in composition from After Effects in Premiere Pro after use Dynamic Link. The solution to this problem is described in a separate article.
- The footage looks different due to incompatible effects. If the clips you send to After Effects contain any effects in Premiere Pro (eg color correction effects or stabilization), then these effects will be turned off in After Effects, since in most cases the effects from Premiere Pro are not compatible with After Effects. This can be solved by following the steps below.
- Remove all effects from clips (footages) before using the “Replace with After Effects Composition” option in Premiere Pro
- Apply all the necessary effects directly in After Effects to the footage layers in the linked composition. If you need a stabilization effect, then you can apply it through the menu “Effect” > “Distort” > “Warp Stabilizer VFX”.
