Using this option can be indispensable when editing and using a variety of transitions or effects. Allows you to turn off all effects on the timeline in one click and playback the entire timeline smoothly. - Proxies.
Use proxies. Using low resolution duplicates of your high quality footage will make your editing process much faster and more productive. - GPU acceleration renderer (CUDA, Metal, OpenCL).
Using GPU acceleration in the renderer settings will allow you to playback and render videos faster. The higher the render engine is in the list, the faster the render will be. - Optimize rendering for “Performance”.
Make sure that the “Optimize rendering for” setting is set to “Performance” (Edit > Preferences > Memory tab). - Allocate enought memory to Premiere Pro.
Allocate the maximum available amount of memory for Premier Pro and reduce to the minimum possible for the rest of the programs (Edit > Preferences > Memory tab). - Media Cache.
Change the default location for the media cache to a different drive that you have on your computer. This will allow your operating system and media cache to have better read and write performance.
